Copyright Question?

I'm getting started on my Camtasia Tutorial, but I'm a little fuzzy on the copyright policies for photos that you get from the 'net. For the video that I want to do - I won't be able to take all my own photos - so I'll need to download some. From what I understand, as long as I cite where I got the photos from I'm okay - is this right? If so, do I cite it in the credits? Thanks in advance for anyone who can help!

I believe you are correct. That is what I have done in the past, specifically for the Photoshop class. I would note the site and the date you retrieved the information. I know I used both for Photoshop though it may be different with videos. I hope I have helped some.

I am confused on the copyright issues we are required to include in our assignment 4! Can someone clarify?

I found great summary on "Copyright and Fair Use Guidelines for Teachers" you can find it on:

www.techlearning.com

This chart breaks it down into simple language.I made a copy for each of my students to use this semester.

Jenny..I felt that we were just supposed to comment on copyright issues in general in terms of using student or other people's work.

In terms of citing the pictures I have always done the same thing as Renea (there's a shocker lol).
